Wanakaset Pyrénées Orientales was incorporated on the 29th of February 2016 as a non for profit foundation registered under number 81917339400019 pursuant to Association Loi 1901 of the French Republic. It is exclusively funded by membership and donations.
Wanakaset Pyrénées Orientales is located on the lush French Mediterranean coast known as “Côte Vermeille”perched 300 meters above sea level, facing the Mediterranean sea.
The property, a 300 years old Cottage of around 800 square meters, was recently fully renovated and features 10 bedrooms, a swimming pool and several terraces. The property is surrounded by a forest, three natural water streams and the Massane river.
The objective of the Wanakaset project is to develop an ecologically balanced environment in the 150 acres of forest available. A place of abundance with healthy soil, biodiversity, rare, extinct or exotic fruits trees, herbs, edible plants and other products that can be harvested sustainably to feed the employees and visitors on the property.
The activities offered on the property range from planting and caring for trees and other plants, preparing terraces and other areas for planting, or clearing paths, maintaining buildings and terrace walls. But also mountain biking, sailing, treasure hunting, etc.
